We're glad you are here!

We understand that exploring Jesus or visiting a new church for the first time can be an intimidating and uncomfortable experience. Lancaster Alliance Church (LAC) has a rich history of helping people just like you come to know Jesus. We're a dynamic, family church with people of all ages and from all walks of life who make up the LAC community.

In our continuing efforts to navigate COVID related concerns, all services and events at LAC are masks optional.

What happens during a worship service?

Our worship service includes activities such as: worship through giving, singing, and studying the Word together. Our services blend hymns and contemporary worship songs. Because we value participation by many, you will discover a great deal of variety in our music. Examples include worship led by the worship band, singers, choir, and orchestra. Our time of worship through God's Word seeks to make scripture understood and relevant to our daily lives. Our worship through song is an expression of God's truth that we value. We also include a time of worship through giving, where we can give our money to further God's kingdom.

What should I wear?

Wear what you feel comfortable in! There's no dress code at LAC. Jeans are just as common as shirts and ties.

Where are you located?

210 Pitney Road, Lancaster, PA (Need directions?

What do you have for kids?

At LAC we love kids! We strive to provide a safe and loving care environment for all age groups during the worship service. Our nursery cares for children ages birth-2 years old. Children ages 3-5 are invited to attend our preschool children's church. Kindergarten-4th grade is invited to attend "Connect", a worship hour engaging our elementary children to learn more about Jesus. All of our volunteers must submit to a mandatory background check.

For more information, please visit our Children's Ministry page.

How early should I arrive?

Most people arrive 15 to 5 minutes before a service or class is scheduled to begin as that gives them time to be seated, but late arrivers are always welcome! Our ushers will be glad to help you find a convenient seat in our sanctuary.

What doors should I come in?

Most of our regular attenders use the doors on the East side of our building (facing Pitney Road) as they are closest to the church office, the Theater and some classrooms. For the main worship service, the doors on the North side (facing Route 30) are closest to our sanctuary. Our New Here Center is easy to find in the lobby.

What can I expect when I arrive for the worship service?

When you walk in Lancaster Alliance Church, you will likely see people enjoying a cup of coffee, as well as engaging in conversation in our lobby and around classrooms. We have an Information Center as well as displays and tables in our lobby if you'd like more information or have questions about our church.

What if I have special needs?

Lancaster Alliance Church is delighted to serve you. You won't have to use any stairs to enter our church, make your way into the sanctuary, or attend a class. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance with automatic doors at the East Entrance. Our sanctuary has a sloped floor to provide easy visibility for those not in the front. Special seating is available for those in wheelchairs and hearing assistance devices may be obtained from an usher or at the sound booth.
